| Damage to my precious CX occured while the car was in the care of a local garage.
It apparently occured after the rear window was vandalized (another matter), sometime between January 15th and February 22nd, 2001

The rear window was smashed out and covered with flimsy plastic duct-taped to the body of the car.
Notice that there is no damage at this point to the rear of the car.
(The car is most definitely outside...)
Since picking the car up, I have not washed it as I want to wait until I hear from the garage and the government-run insurance company in case I have to submit a claim for the damage.
Contact has been made with the garage and is on-going.
Notice that I have not mentioned the name of the garage or its exact location...

| The leading front edge of the hood (bonnet). The crack is where someone has used force to close the hood. What doesn't show is the hand-sized dents above the crack where it is obvious that someone used more force than necessary. It's already starting to rust! |

| It is obvious that the left front of the car was involved in meeting some immovable object, smashing the sidelights/turning signal lens, breaking the mount, cracking the bumper cover and air dam below, throwing the alignment of the bumper and cover out of whack. |

| It appears that the car was either pushed by another vehicle, or was backed into an immovable object. The bumper cover is cracked, with pieces missing (it was cold outside), the bright trim strip was loose on the right side and detached, the forward bumper side extensions were disconnected from the body of the car and the wheel arch spats were removed and on the rear (leather) seat. In addition, the taillamp cluster lenses were cracked. The left rear side marker lamp was also cracked.
I have since attached the spats and the bright trim strip to prevent further damage or loss.

The body, just up and to the right of the taillamp cluster was pushed in with considerable force. The damage has already started to rust! |
